The key challenge: developing teams and organisations into dynamically robust units that experience surprises not as a threat but as a resource — with people who take initiative, persevere and act in a self-determined way.
Essential Leadership earns its name because the 12-month programme is built on a deep engagement with the nature of people — from a neuroscientific perspective. Grounded in modern neuroscience on the „human operating system“ and in Luhmann’s systems theory.

Beyond „something new must enter my head“. First it's about unlearning: letting go of assumptions collected over our socialisation and thinking anew. Then: connecting our own ideas with the findings of science, deriving guiding principles and translating them into concrete practice — all the way to a self-learning state.
New leadership? With what mandate — derived from which systems of influence? Lived in what understanding of role, guided by which principles?
Who am I really? How do I come across, what matters to me? How does the new understanding of role become my natural thinking, feeling and acting?
Into the engagement: which approaches emerge when I live the new understanding of role? For all daily challenges — from goals to dealing with conflict.
Back into real reality — in the „new“ leadership role: practise, practise, practise. And become continuously more confident and effective.
Essential Leadership can lead people to truly take ownership of what their organisation is about — to take initiative, persevere, think boldly and act in a self-determined way. Exactly that may at first feel like uncertainty or loss of control — in rare cases you might be asked: „So what's left for you to do as the boss?“
Important interaction: combining Essential Leadership with classic method seminars evokes a dizzying circular motion.
